Hi there! I’m happy you’re here.

My name is Elizabeth (she/her), and I’m a writer and editor based in Seattle. My work is centered around gender equity, global health, reproductive rights, food security, water access, climate change, and housing rights, but I’m passionate about a lot of other topics, too.

I started my own editorial consulting business because I care deeply about making language more accessible, inclusive, and solutions-oriented. And because I believe that jargon is the enemy of understanding. Let’s be real: it doesn’t matter how important your work is if no one understands what you do. Let’s avoid that.

Prior to freelancing, I managed communications for Data2X at the United Nations Foundation, conducted research on food security and agriculture at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, and trained as a community organizing leader with Supermajority Education Fund. I graduated from Loyola University Chicago with dual degrees in Communications Studies and International Studies.

When I’m not writing, you can usually find me reading, hiking, hosting potlucks with friends, scoping out Seattle’s awesome food scene, raving about my hometown of Chicago, and petting every dog I meet.
